Thanks to the remarkable research work carried out by Dr. Herkner, from Berlin, as well as the benevolence of the German expert Michael Autengruber, Dominique Henneresse has been able to establish and classify the almost exhaustive list of personalities appointed as knights of the Pontifical Order of Christ from 1800 to the present day.
